Dippy came to us a very young cat. It was immediately obvious that there was an issue with her front legs. She had been born with a congenital limb deformity of the front legs with the ulna (form arm bones) not forming. We gave a great deal of thought to what would be the best we could do for little Dippy and took expert veterinary advice. We were expecting that we might have to prepare for complicated and expensive surgery. Dippy was a very happy cat, pain free and able to rush around and enjoy herself. Her disability really didn’t hold her back at all. After much research and consideration it was agreed that we would be able to rehome Dippy without any medical intervention at this stage. We would keep in touch with her and offer support in future if it should ever be needed. It took no time at all to find a really great indoor home for her where she has lots of play time and company. She is a happy cat and she is spreading joy.
