RSPCA – North Kent Branch CIO

We wanted to notify you that RSPCA – Kent North West Branch (Charity 210633) is winding up and all assets, responsibilities and commitments are passing across to the new RSPCA North Kent Branch CIO (Charity 1214693). “CIO” stands for “Charitable Incorporated Organisation” and is just a different legal structure available to charities.  

In many respects nothing is changing as we have the same staff and Trustees. You can rest assured that we will be carrying out the same activities in the same area (all DA Postcodes plus BR 8 Postcodes).

We are a local, independent charity but also part of the wider RSPCA family. The national charity is asking local Branches to become CIOs because it makes the running of the charity simpler, safer and smoother than ever. The important thing is that nothing is changing in terms of our local animal welfare work. If you have used our services before you will not notice any difference.
